  1. I hate to say this but as a fan of the genre, this is an entirely misguided book. It posits that discipline is the key to success, but it fails to recognize that discipline alone does not always lead to accomplishment. In fact, in some cases, it can be detrimental.

However, he ignores the fact that discipline needs to be balanced with other important factors such as creativity, motivation and resilience.
